A larger range of radar displays may be supported by changing the firmware or the use of converter boards. The board can also be used to emulate the video output from more advanced radar systems such as:

Several boards may be connected in parallel for MTI simulation or Sea /Air / IFF / Transponder channels.

It is our intention to support every relevant display on the market. We do that by signing NDA’s with the various manufacturers in order to gain access to the control interface protocol.

Video Signal

  • Polarity: Negative or positive
  • Amplitude: (-)10 V to (+)10 V
  • Impedance: 50 or 75 ohms
  • Bandwidth: >10ns(Firmware dependent)
  • Resolution: 8 bits (standard) 14 bits (optional)

Trigger(Sync) Signal

  • Format: RS422 or 12V pulses

  • Frequency: 10Hz to 30000Hz (Firmware dependent)
  • External Trigger: Yes

Azimuth Signal

  • Format ACP: RS422, 5V or 12V pulses
  • Format ARP: RS422, 5V or 12V pulse or closed contact
  • Reference: 90 – 1440, 128 – 8192
  • ScanFaker 4.3 and later support 12V or higher differential signalling.
