ScanServer Small Target Tracker

Detect anything that stands out

Traditional Small Target Tracking is based on CFAR and high pass filters, and while still useful these legacy techniques are not as efficient as modern mathematics.

The ScanServer Small Target Tracker applies a combination of Machine Learning and Statistical Image Analysis in order to detect anomalies hidden in the surface structure. If an anomaly of interest is found
then a plot is declared and transferred to the Multiple Hypothesis Tracker.

Objects of Interest

Small objects of interest are typically:
– Logs, containers, swimmers, mammals, small boats, kayaks, jetskis
– Drifting mines, sea drones, some periscopes
– Drift ice of various sizes

Automatically Direct a Camera or an Effector

The ScanServer will direct a supported camera to the Target of Most Concern automatically.

Limited User Intervention Required

The ScanServer Small Target Tracker is designed to operate as service on either Linux or Windows without any user intervention. The default settings will cover most scenarios and provide instant high quality track
reports just seconds after startup, but an easy to use slider is available should adjustments be required.

Any Radar, Any Weather

The ScanServer Small Target Tracker will detect targets in almost any weather using any radar of reasonable quality.

The ScanServer STT can connect to virtually any radar on the market using either an always increasing
list of client connectors over LAN or the extremely versatile ScanStreamer Analog Radar to LAN processor.
Support for custom projects is easily obtained from our engineers since all of our products are designed in-house. A list of manufacturers can be found here for both analog and LAN based radars.
